Levoča - Mary′s hill. Pilgrimage basilica of the Virgin Mary Visit is situated on the hill over Levoča 781 m above sea level. It is a neo-Gothic building built in 1906-1914. In the interior the most precious is Gothic wooden Madonna on the main altar.

        

Levoča - Spiš Castle (19 km)Spiš Castel is one of the most important and most extensive and impressive castle ruins not only in Spiš, but in Central Europe generally. Proving Slavic settlements on that hill as well as neighboring hill Dreveník. The first written mention dates back to the year 1209. Its extended construction is anticipated after the Tatar invasion in the 13th C. Extensions and reconstructions were carried out by its owners like Zápoľský, Thurzo and Ćáky till 1945.in 1993 the Spiš Castle with Spiš Kapitula and Žehra was added to the UNESCO List of World Cultural and Natural heritage. 

Levoča - Spišská Kapitula and Spišské Podhradie (15 km)Spišská Kapitula, originated in the 13th century as the fortified seat of ecclesiastical administration, the seat of the provost. Later an independent Spiš bishopric was established here. The massive walls of the tiny town protect 30 houses for canons, a bishop′s palace and a seminary building form the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods. The dominating feature of Spišská Kapitula is the Late Romanesque Cathedral of St. Martin with its twin towers. Zápoľský Chapel was built adjacent to the right side of the church in 15th C. 

Levoča - Žehra (19 km)Church in Žehra was built in the Roman and Gothic styles. The typical bulb dome of the church tower dates back to 1769. Most precious are the wall paintings dating back to several centuries.

Levoča - Markušovce Renaissance palace was built into Rococo style into its present shape . It has housed the Museum of Historical Furniture from 17th to 20th centuries. In the back part of the French park there is another noteworthy construction a summerhouse called Dardanely. There is an exhibition of historical, mainly key musical instruments.  

Spišská Nová Ves (10,5 km) The former medieval town is known thanks to the unique spindle-shape square – largest in Europe and thanks’ to the highest tower in Slovakia (87m) of the Church.

 

Spišský Štvrtok (12 km)The most valuable monument of Spišský Śtvrtok is a Romanic - Gothic church and Zápoľský chapel, built in 1473 by architect  Hans Pusbach, one of the constructers of St Steven Church in Vienna. 

 

Levoča - Spišská Sobota.  Spišská Sobota is very interesting part of the town Poprad with its medieval character and gothic-renaissance style houses. On the main square there is parish Roman Catholic Church of St. George with main altar made by Master Paul of Levoča in 1503. On the side of a church a renaissance Bell – Tower form 1598  is located there.  

Levoča - Slovak Paradise, Smižany (16 km).

 

In 1988 the territory of the Slovak Paradise was declared as a National park. The Slovak Paradise is interesting for tourists throughout the year. There are approximately 300 kilometers of market hiking trails accessible on its territory.
